Since returning to Australia she has appeared in plays and musicals across the country, from remote town halls to the Sydney Opera House. She has had her play FISH DOOF published by Currency Press as a part of Intersection: Bloom, was shortlisted for KXT’s inaugural 2023 David Bathur Creative Fellowship, and was one of three finalists in the 2024 Martin Lysicrates playwriting Prize. Environmental activism and community building is at the forefront of all of Izabella’s work, and she believes theatre, community, and joy are vital tools in the climate fight. She is the founder and creative director of Blinking Light; an environmentally sustainable theatre company dedicated to creating bold works of theatre that build community, spread joy, and further the fight against climate change.

Izabella also works as a freelance dramaturg, director, choreographer, and drama/dance teacher.
